Egypt and the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in civil aviation and advance air transport integration across Africa during talks on Thursday on the sidelines of the second
El Alamein International Airshow.

Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny met AFCAC President Florent Serge Dzota to discuss improving air transport standards and enhancing cooperation among African countries.

The talks covered preparations for upcoming international and African aviation meetings scheduled for November, as well as priorities for developing a sustainable air transport sector capable of responding to emerging challenges.

El-Hefny reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting African cooperation and integration in civil aviation, highlighting the country’s role in advancing the sector across the continent.

Dzota, meanwhile, hailed Egypt’s expertise and its contribution to the development of African civil aviation.

The meeting comes as African countries seek to deepen aviation integration and strengthen air connectivity as part of broader efforts to support trade, investment and economic integration across the continent.
