Egypt will host the highly anticipated “NewSpace Africa 2025” conference from April 21 to 24, 2025, at the Egyptian Space Agency headquarters. The event aims to drive economic growth across Africa by showcasing space innovation, according to a statement issued by the agency.

The “NewSpace Africa” conference is a premier global platform that unites leaders from the space industry, commercial space companies, investors, and stakeholders in satellite technology. The event will offer opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the advancement of Africa’s rapidly growing space sector.

Rapid Growth of Africa’s Space Industry

Africa’s space industry has seen remarkable growth, valued at $19.49 billion in 2021, with projections indicating a 16.16% expansion, reaching $22.64 billion by 2026. The continent now boasts over 270 space startups, driving innovation and providing technology-driven solutions across various sectors.

The four-day conference will feature a range of dynamic activities, including keynote addresses from prominent industry figures, interactive sessions, and panel discussions on the region’s most pressing challenges and emerging opportunities. Business showcases will highlight cutting-edge innovations, while networking events will facilitate valuable partnerships and collaborations.

Attendees will also have access to an exhibition, where companies can present the latest products and services to a diverse audience, raising awareness about the industry’s potential. The conference aims to foster a collaborative environment, encouraging the development of creative and inclusive solutions to accelerate the growth of Africa’s space economy.

Egypt’s hosting of this prestigious event underscores its leadership in advancing both regional and international efforts to expand the space economy. It also highlights the country’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development across the African continent.
