Senegalese President Macky Sall met with Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi on Tuesday in Dakar to discuss bilateral cooperation and ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two leaders focused on enhancing cooperation and explored various areas of mutual interest. Al Muraikhi’s visit also included talks with Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, where discussions centered on economic development, regional cooperation, and the latest developments in the Middle East and West Africa.
Earlier this year, in February, President Sall welcomed another senior Qatari official, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifi, to discuss issues such as stability, security, and development in Africa.
Over recent years, relations between Qatar and Senegal have grown significantly, with both countries signing agreements to boost trade, economic cooperation, and investment exchanges.
